You’re dealing with a lot; feeling guilty and confused. Guilty for not loving more or trying harder. They’re telling you these things - it must be true, right? They were charismatic and charming, showering you with PDA and compliments, but it all changed. You’re embarrassing they say, and now you feel trapped and broken. You’re not alone. It's not your fault. You Google “abusive relationships” and read about narcissistic abuse. That’s your life! You need guidance. I know this because I needed it too. I chased “good enough” trying to “behave well” for my family. After college, I married and divorced a narcissist who always blamed me.

We all need someone to talk to from time to time. Someone who will listen attentively to us without passing judgment. As early in life as I can remember, I have possessed an innate desire to help others. My own experience with trauma has inspired me to assist others struggling to process and cope with their challenges. I work with a diverse clientele, treating a wide range of concerns including trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy loss, grief and ADHD. My goal is to empower individuals by providing them with the confidence and tools necessary to navigate and work through their obstacles.

As a child psychotherapist, I use my training in close observation to help make sense of a child's difficulties as I communicate with them through play, drawing, words and behaviour, allowing the child to begin to put into words the thoughts and feelings that lie behind their troubling behaviour.
Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy: Anxiety, Depression, Cutting Self Harm, Trauma, Divorce/Custody Issues, Eating Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorders. Adults: Relational Difficulties, Divorce, Work/Life Transitions, Self Destructive Behaviours are some of the reasons people choose to work with me. I am a Registered Psychotherapist, my background is Psychodynamic Psychotherapy- a therapeutic approach that embraces the work of all psychoanalytic therapies: object relations, ego psychology, self-psychology, mentalization and attachment theory. I tailor my approach to the individual child, adolescent or adult.

I have over 5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and couples, providing trauma informed therapy regarding childhood trauma, family conflict, intimate partner violence, life transitions, and work issues.
Counselling is you giving yourself an opportunity to heal. Doing anything new is often scary and you may feel hesitant in taking this step. I would like to support you in taking this step to allow yourself the opportunity to build insight and heal from trauma, or create boundaries in overly challenging and complex relationships. I use a collaborative approach with the use of Cognitive-Behaviourial Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based and Solution-Focused Therapy that is culturally sensitive to offer the support you desire in-order to move towards your goal to have the life and relationships that you desire.

Children and youth often experience strong emotions (anxiety, sadness, anger, fear) that are the roots of their behavioral challenges, self- and emotion dysregulation, and other adjustment issues. These issues negatively impact their quality of life. Through play and art therapy, I facilitate and witness the unfolding of children's lived experiences. I help them to explore and express their thoughts, emotions and memories that may not be easily expressed using words. Through interacting with their personal symbols in the play or their art, children gain self-acceptance which is the bridge to healing the inner pain and trauma.

I draw upon my extensive experience working with children, youth, and adults living with mental health challenges (including mood and behaviour, grief, generational trauma, attachment wounds, life transitions, and parenting concerns).
Hi there, it's lovely to meet you. If you're reading this message, you've already taken your first step on your journey to wellness. When things get tough and start to cast a gloomy shadow on every facet of your daily life, it can be easy to feel lost, overwhelmed, or hopeless. You might start second guessing yourself, over thinking everything, avoiding things, or feeling less motivated. When you're feeling out of control, it can be difficult to work through these struggles alone, and I am here to help you learn new skills and ways to cope with life's hardships.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and offer psychotherapy sessions in both English and Farsi.
I believe in forming an authentic therapeutic relationship with respect to the client's cultural background. With a suitable therapeutic approach that tailors individual needs, one can face covert feelings with clarity. Therapy is a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can unpack their deepest emotions and learn to process them effectively.

Understanding your child’s behavior changes our response to them.
Children are constantly evolving and growing and during their journey they sometimes need some support to encourage and help them to thrive in their relationships and connections with others; or to develop strategies to support emotional regulation, social skills, life skills, anxiety reduction, concentration and focus, or processing of traumatic events. During this time parents are also growing and evolving. Parenting can be both the most challenging and rewarding experience we have but sometimes during those challenging times we need some support.
