As a social worker with over ten years working within the field of mental health, it's hard to ignore the one commonality- Trauma. Whether this is uncovered yet or not, everyone has a story, and sometimes those unprocessed memories or emotions have a way of getting stuck which can shape the way we currently cope. My areas of expertise are mental health, self-worth, grief/loss, compassion fatigue and overall trauma.
I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship between you and I. Trust, respect and openness are key to your healing journey. As a therapist, I offer a safe, non-judgmental and authentic space to explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings and the impact this has on how you behave and interact with the world around you.
I have training in evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. I am dedicated to working collaboratively to support individual health and wellness by uncovering and reprocessing negative memories to build healthy and happy new ones.
