Life can be beautiful, filled with joy and meaningful experiences. Life can also be messy, confusing and very painful. When we don’t know how to navigate these experiences, we can be left feeling either disconnected or overwhelmed by our emotions and unable to show up effectively in our lives and in our relationships. I want you to know that you are not alone. For over a decade, I have provided assessment and psychotherapy to individuals struggling with mental health and relationship challenges. I’m particularly passionate about the area of relationships – the parenting relationship, couple relationship, and relationship to self.
In therapy, I will help you explore your past and make sense of your current cycles and challenges. With greater self awareness, I will then help you develop skills to relate to your emotional experience more effectively. Finally, I will help you take action to create a life and relationship that is aligned with your core values and feels deeply fulfilling.
Each treatment plan is unique and tailored to the individual(s). While I have extensive training in a variety of treatment models, I draw most heavily from my training and experience in Emotion Focused Therapy (for both individuals and couples). I believe that our emotions hold great wisdom, deserve to be attended to, and ultimately point the way forward.
