Welcome! My name is Nicole and I'm a Registered Social Worker at Subtext Counselling & Psychotherapy. At Subtext, we believe that beneath the surface of our daily struggles lie stories of resilience and empowerment. I provide counselling and psychotherapy to adults (18+), with a special focus on depression, anxiety, relationship issues, chronic pain, self-esteem, and vocational counselling. In our work together, you can expect a safe space where your feelings are honoured and your voice is heard.
I work from a strengths based perspective, and I use various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Polyvagal Theory. Long lasting therapeutic change isn't about changing who you are. It’s about accessing your inner resources, and learning to truly accept yourself just as you are.
Together we will identify and challenge old patterns and examine them without judgement or shame. I would be honoured to join you on your path to healing. I offer flexible appointments, including evenings and weekends, both in person and online. I look forward to connecting with you!
