I am a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and I provide psychotherapy at Uprise Psychology and Wellness under the supervision of Dr. Melisa Arias-Valenzuela, C. Psych. I have experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress management, low self-esteem, self-criticism, and interpersonal relationship issues. As a former professional ice hockey player and coach, I also have a special interest in working with athletes on sports performance, mental health concerns, and transitions out of sport.
I am motivated and honoured to support clients in their journeys toward mental well-being and personal growth. I prioritize creating a collaborative and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences openly and authentically. Grounded in empathy and respect, I strive to tailor each session to the unique needs and preferences of the client.
My approach is person-centred, and strengths-based. I integrate a third-wave approach to counselling and focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
