As a couples and family therapist, I specialize in relationships & the impact they have on our mental wellness. I work with couples & families with a range of issues including marital satisfaction, communication, conflict, parenting struggles, adjustment to life transitions (marriage, new parents, retirement).
My areas of expertise include relationship conflict (communication, trust, parenting stress), life transitions, separation (during & after), & family of origin and attachment disruptions including trauma & abuse. Other areas of expertise parent-child relationship stress including mental health (self-harm, anxiety, depression), school, family stress.
As a couple and family therapist, I believe that each person and each couple is doing the best they can with what they have at the moment. My goal is to help couples and families better understand each other’s perspective. I believe each relationship, regardless of how challenging the problems seem, has the potential to become a place of safety and support
