I work from the perspective that we’re all managing something, no matter what age. Whether it’s worries, relationship challenges, or problems with learning. Sometimes we need help understanding what it is that’s happening for us, while other times we understand the challenge, but not how to make changes. I meet you wherever it is you’re at, whether you’re seeking help for yourself or for your child.

I’m an advocate for Bruce Perry’s shift from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”, and work from an attachment and trauma-informed lens. That really means I believe in the power of relationships and our experiences – both in understanding how we got to where we are today, as well as to find the path forward.

I work with children, parents, families, and adults, providing therapy and assessment. At Growing Roots, we’re also trained and experienced in infant and preschool mental health. Of course, no one can be all things to all people and I never practice outside of my scope. At the same time, we're rarely struggling with one issue in isolation, with many of our challenges overlapping and so we do need to be knowledgable about many issues! It is a fine balance but I tend to find success by seeing the patterns of both your strengths and challenges and how they work together.
