Welcome! I am so happy you're here. As a therapist, I hope to join you wherever you are- navigating paths known and unknown, welcoming tender moments to slow down and rest, and all that is between and beyond. I work primarily with BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ clients, including queer and trans Muslims, newcomers and immigrants, and third culture individuals. I draw from somatic, narrative, and expression-based practices. My therapy is political and slow; embracing of pleasure and joy, and holding space for the impacts of navigating a world designed to marginalize and oppress.
Mainstream mental healthcare is often rooted in white supremacy. It is my hope to challenge this by continuing to co-create healing spaces with clients that honour and reclaim ancestral practices and wisdoms, challenge grind culture, and pathologize systems and structures, not people.
Personally and professionally, I hope to help contribute to creating a world where those who have not found spaces to honour their whole selves can be welcomed.
