Let’s figure out what is holding you back and how to move forward in celebrating who you are. We all have parts of ourselves we wish were different, parts of ourselves we are ashamed of or perhaps sad or angry with. Sometimes we start to shape our understanding of ourselves through a narrative that is focused on these parts. My approach is one that uses curiosity to explore, understand and appreciate our unique story. Stories are ways in which we explain and understand our experiences. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you on your journey of exploring your story, rediscovering self and re-writing your story that you value.

You were going along with your daily routines, but now things are starting to feel more difficult. You’re starting to feel overwhelmed and life is just not going as you had expected. You might start to put on a brave face, but inside you are just not feeling like the version of yourself you once were. You notice your patience is thinner with the people that you usually enjoy having around you, you’ve even snapped and said something you didn’t mean before you could stop yourself. You try to fix it but then it happens again. You talk down to yourself and just cannot boost yourself out of this funk. Now you’re taking a brave step.

You just want to feel normal again. We help with postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, birth trauma, and postpartum psychosis. Dads can struggle too! If your partner is having a hard time, we're here for them as well.

Therapy shouldn't feel like a chore. While it might sometimes be hard to hear what is discussed in therapy, overall you should leave feeling like you've gained something useful or even transformative. Over time, you should feel you are getting stronger, more resilient and have shed layers of fear and anxiety. Of course this process can be overwhelming at times and you might not always progress on the timeframe that you thought you would, but when therapy goes well, you should feel more settled and more clear about your life. You should gain understanding about yourself and others and have a renewed sense of purpose and passion

Parents- it can be confusing to know how to help your teen/child navigate difficult times in their lives. The challenge can be magnified if you are parenting alone or if your parenting partner has different ideas from you, about parenting. Teens- the struggle with relationships and/or who you are and want to be, IS REAL! I have worked with teens, young adults and parents for more than 25 years. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and knowledgeable space where I facilitate the integration of the struggle, offer techniques to ease distress, and as a result, next steps become more clear for you.

Waitlist for new clients
I help people struggling with anxiety/depression develop strategies to help them feel even 1% better/less stressed day by day. Client's have told me that thinking about their wellness journey in these smaller 1% steps is less overwhelming. Those 1%'s will start to add up! I am easy to talk to and down to earth. If you aren't sure what happens in therapy, give me a call! I would be happy to explain the process to you. The consultation is a great time to do a quick "vibe check" to see if we click and if you like my approach. If I am not the right fit for you, I will help connect you to someone who can help you!
