I am a down to earth, authentic, and non-judgemental person, and I use a feminist, holistic, person-centred approach to counselling. I strive to create a safe, collaborative and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered as they work towards personal growth and reach their desired goals. I use a variety of counselling techniques including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, as well as trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution focused approaches.
I enjoy working with adults, youth and adolescents to address mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, grief and loss, anger issues, childhood trauma, self-esteem issues, life changes, victims of intimate partner violence and abuse, and addictions.
I am comfortable working with all ages, races, genders, abilities and cultural backgrounds. I also take into account the social determinants of health (SDOH) that contribute to many of the everyday challenges people face and include this perspective in my approach.
