I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education with specializations in counselling and psychology. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. My experiences encompass working with individuals who struggle with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict or grief/loss. My approach can best be described as holistic as it integrates emotional, mental, physical and social aspects of people's lives. I have been described by my clients as compassionate, knowledgeable and being able to respectfully challenge them.
I trust that everyone has the inner resources or can develop the resources to work through whatever difficulties and challenges someone is facing. A therapist can facilitate the (re)discovery of these strengths, qualities and inner resources.
I am using a variety of treatment approaches, depending on the concerns a client brings to the sessions as well as the client's experiences and preferences. I am integrating approaches based on cognitive-behavioural therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and narrative therapy into my therapeutic conversations.
