I am a registered psychotherapist with over thirty-six (36) years of experience working in a psychiatric setting (psychometrist), mental health and addictions, outpatient setting, probation and parole and community counselling. Coordinated and facilitated group therapy for male sexual abuse victims (adult), Intimate Partner Violence, anger management and individual and couples counselling.
I possess advanced interview skills, case preparation to reflect a goal orientated outcome using Feedback Informed Treatment to implement treatment plans and to promote recovery. A combination of treatment modalities includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused and Talk Therapy based on a trauma informed, and strength based intervention.
Having worked with populations with diverse diagnosis and challenges my goal has always been to reduce the impact of life’s trauma, educate on finding alternate solutions to the problem and achieve a measured success. To direct others to minimise or eliminate the impact they have on persons close to them.
