I have been a social worker for 22 years, the last 10 of which have been specifically working with mental health and addictions. I am licensed to work virtually in BC, ON, NS, QC, YT, and NU. I use a strengths-based approach, recognizing that we all have strength but sometimes need support identifying them. Although I am well-versed in many aspects of mental wellness and illness, I particularly like to focus on trauma, helping individuals gain back the power they lost through their negative experiences. I work 100% virtually, with older teens and adults of all genders.

I specialize in trauma and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in CBT and DBT, and enjoy working with depression, anxiety, addictions, anger, and ADHD. I am a trained hormone assessor for gender-affirming care.

In our first session we would do some history-taking and discuss your goals for therapy. I want to make sure we are meeting YOUR goals, not mine. From there we would develop a treatment plan, possibly using a variety of therapeutic techniques as needed.
