Life can be a beautiful mess and a heartbreaking gift, often at the same time. My aim is to provide the connection and support you need to navigate the challenges you are currently facing. Using a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, I will work with you to recognize the patterns of thinking and behaviour that might be holding you back, as well as invite you to consider how various influences in your life impact your functioning. I will remind you of your innate strengths and values and encourage your overal wellbeing by inviting you to listen to and trust your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.
I hold a Master of Counselling in Applied Psychology with a Specialization in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, as well as bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Education. I have additional training in religious trauma, ADHD, grief & loss, trauma & PTSD, play therapy techniques, parts work, and creating inclusive spaces.
I believe that counselling is most effective when you and your therapist can work collaboratively in a safe and trusting environment. This group is for you if you are experiencing grief (of any kind), are at least 6 months' post-loss, and looking to connect with a safe and supportive community. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own stories, support others with similar experiences, learn helpful information about grief, apply effective coping strategies, and explore and process their grief through a variety of hands-on activities. Begins September 19, 2024 and continues on the third Thursday of each month. Contact us to book a free information and intake session if you are interested in participating.
