Welcome! I'm so glad you found your way here. My name is Mateo Huezo and I'm a Latin Patlacheh (2 Spirit) person who works with folks across Alberta. I work with folks who are navigating issues around mood, anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, and more. Most of my work has been within 2SLGBTQ+ communities, with folks who are neurodivergent, and/or folks who are racially diverse in this society.
I am a Registered Psychologist in Alberta and Certified Therapeutic Art Coach. My training and specializations include using postmodern and feminist approaches, play and arts in therapy, cognitive behavioural approaches, and approaches that meet the World Professional Association for Transgender Health's Standards for Care.
