Every individual comes from a different background, facing highs and lows that are influenced by different life experiences. At an early age, I was able to see the importance of mental health and how vital it is to advocate for those that are struggling by extending my hand in help. It has always been an interest of mine working with individuals of multiple cultural backgrounds to ensure that any help they receive caters to their cultural limits. I have a high interest in working with individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing trauma, relationship issues, familial issues, anxiety, depression, and new life changes
I am very fluid in my use of modalities as I like to first understand clients before utilizing specific modalities. However, I am very interested in aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that focus on trauma, Solution Focussed approaches (SFBT), as well as approaches aligned with Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
There is so much stigma surrounding mental health and it can sometimes be hard to take the first step to reach out for help. However, I am confident that those steps will never go to waste and that my commitment to clients will be dealt with the utmost support. I aim in creating a safe and collaborative environment for all clients where goals can be achieved
