I am a registered social worker with over 16 years of experience in providing individual and family therapy in adult and children mental health settings. I support individuals and families with interpersonal challenges, mental health concerns, coping with childhood trauma, work stress, transitions and emotional concerns. My work is focused on compassionately exploring and transforming deeply rooted, unsettling patterns in relationship with self and others. In therapeutic relationship where my clients feel deeply understood, we integrate relational, emotional, cognitive and body-oriented experiences to facilitate meaningful change.
I am extensively trained and experienced in providing trauma informed, psychodynamic, attachment focused and sensorimotor (body based) psychotherapy. My treatment approach is focused on self awareness, insight, encourages full range of emotional expression, exploration of the unconscious, relationship development and improved skills in emotional regulation.
We will explore your family history to learn about the emotional patterns that contributed to your struggles. We will engage in a body-oriented process of paying attention to uncomfortable sensations in order to increase your capacity to cope. This process is key in guiding you into alignment with your authentic life goals and hopes.
