I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Ego State therapy, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy (also using creative writing) and attachment theory.
Do you find yourself acting in ways that don’t fit your values or beliefs or responding to situations in ways that seem irrational to you? Sometimes this is due to unresolved past issues and sometimes it is due to habits developed in previous life situations that are no longer useful but have not yet been changed. I can help you to get your heart and mind on the same page in order to move forward with your life goals. If trauma, depression, anxiety or chronic pain are in the way, I can provide tools to manage these and therapy to help heal the roots of these.

We often become victims of our own minds and emotions, struggling with the same inner and outer turmoil over and over and don’t know why. Anxiety, worry, self doubt, fear and incessant thinking aren’t caused by a single factor but a combination of things such as trauma, difficult life experiences, loss, troubled relationships and stress. Dealing with these issues, processing your feelings and learning strategies to quiet your mind will help you attain inner peace and emotional resilience

I therefore use a multi-faceted approach that is informed by narrative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioural forms of therapy to help you understand who you are, where you come from, and where you want to go within your journey of life.
Beginning therapy can be challenging! It takes courage to put yourself out there and begin to talk about "you". Many of us have received the message growing up that we shouldn't share with others what is bothering us but that is simply not true. Experiencing struggles within life is part of the human experience and we all deserve non-judgmental support. Whatever you may be experiencing, there has never been a better time to receive the support you deserve to feel better within your life.
