ACCEPTING NEW ONTARIO BASED CLIENTS: Specializing in individual and group psychotherapy using evidence- based treatment models including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy ( CPT). I am a Graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. I have also pioneered the creation of a Psychotherapy Supervision Training program for Occupational therapists in Ontario and have formal training in Supervision. The priority of my approach is to create a strong therapeutic relationship with clients, that is non-judgemental, safe, and collaborative.
I work from a client-centred, humanistic, integrative, evidence- based model, that draws on a collaborative framework with the client. I bring my full presence, using a here and now, relational, process oriented body -focused approach, to support client challenges dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, relationship difficulties, and trauma.
Research shows that the greatest factor that predicts successful outcomes in psychotherapy is the therapeutic relationship with the client, not the modality used. I have extensive training in therapeutic relationship, supervision and relational models, and 23 years of experience. I bring extensive experience and wisdom to the therapy process.
