In the counselling process, you will find authenticity, empathy and a genuine openness. I provide a safe space and listening ear in each sessions using an anti-oppressive lens. As we walk through the journey of therapy together you will be assured that you retain the control of what and how much is discussed in session. Together, I will support you to face what life can bring, and help you feel secure and empowered. My dynamic skills set connects well to address issues related to mood, relationships, self concept, boundary building and maintenance, and traumatic experiences.
I offer a safe haven to for you to share as you want and to know that the space can be trusted. I have more than 12 years experience working in mental health. My practice is guided on a dynamic set of skills stemming from modern approaches based in Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused, Acceptance and Commitment, and Polyvagal therapies.
As a black mother and wife, I bring with me personal experience of balancing work, life and family responsibilities. I understand the importance of shared experiences when working together as you grow and evolve as an individual navigating the world in a way that is aligned with your values and goals.
