It is not unusual to feel overwhelmed by life at times. Sometimes we simply do not have the tools to cope effectively. That is where I hope to make a difference for you. As a therapist my role is to support you non-judgmentally, meet you where you are at, and also respond to you with empathy. I will begin to challenge thoughts and beliefs, reflect patterns and provide differing perspectives. We will start to uncover emotions, thoughts and behaviors together that may be keeping you feeling "stuck". I hope to support you in making decisions that will shift your relationship with yourself and others.
I hold a Masters degree in Social Work and am registered with the OCSWSSW. My primary area of focus is trauma and PTSD. I work from evidence based practices such as: CBT , CBT, EMDR and CPT. I also have a playful and gentle in-training therapy dog Benny, a hypoallergenic cockapoo.
Reaching out and beginning therapy can be hard. My hope is to meet you where you are at, while creating a warm, inviting and emotionally safe space where we can both begin to understand what's going on. While everyone faces challenges, how we navigate through these can be important in strengthening our relationship with ourselves and others.
