Change, growth, challenges, and transitions are inevitable, unavoidable, and often completely unexpected in life resulting in small traumas that can still cause significant distress in daily functioning. A part of being human involves having perceived “demons” in our closets or events we experienced in our past or childhood that may impact our present-day functioning. You may have unintentionally learned that repressing or not talking about these small traumas is the “appropriate” way to cope but it may not be working resulting in you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, upset, and like you are spinning out of control.

You’re highly accomplished and have always pushed yourself to succeed, driven by a strong sense of responsibility and perfectionism. Yet beneath the surface, you often feel anxious, stuck, and unfulfilled. Despite your achievements, there’s a lingering sense that it’s never enough. The pressure to maintain the appearance of having it all together hides deeper struggles with self-worth, unresolved family dynamics, and persistent feelings of anxiety or depression. You long for genuine connection and deeper meaning in your relationships but feel unsure of how to break the cycle of stress and dissatisfaction.

Do you struggle with finding your next step or worry that the plans you made are out of reach? You want to appear confident and joyful, but deep down you are struggling with stress, and wrestling with fatigue. You might not remember a time things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to let go of guilt, self-doubt, and fear. Most of all, you want to live purposefully in the present.

Life is an ever continual journey of growth, learning from past experiences, and (re)creating a sense of ourselves. Individuals may experience feeling weighed down by emotions, uncertainty of how to move forward in life after a traumatic event, or struggle with relationships. Regardless, if you know what concerns you would like to discuss or require a safe space to explore and gain clarity, your journey will be supported with care and compassion. I will help guide you through your lived experiences, thoughts, and emotions. My hope is to empower you to transform your concerns into self-awareness, vitality, and sustainable change.

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. I am a registered psychotherapist serving people throughout Ontario. I am a clinical counsellor who also has specialized training in pastoral care. This means I treat people at a very holistic level. I work with people struggling with a range of issues including Anxiety, Depression, Low Self esteem, Grief & Loss, and more complex issues such as obsessive or compulsive tendencies, complicated grief, childhood emotional injuries, maintaining sobriety, and more. Yes, recovery involves mental & emotional processing and integration, but I believe the deepest healing involves more.

The lasting pain of childhood trauma can deeply impact your relationships—both with yourself and others. You might feel stuck in painful relational patterns—constantly questioning your worth, struggling to set boundaries, and giving so much that there’s little left. Isolation may feel like a safer option when trusting others seems impossible, even when you crave closeness. Trusting yourself can be just as difficult, with self-doubt creeping into every decision. Perfectionism and self-criticism drive you to push harder, yet you never feel like you’re enough. Even when life seems calm, anxiety can leave you bracing for the next storm.

I believe therapy allows people to share their stories and feel their emotions in an environment that is safe and considers their unique needs. I strive to validate people’s emotions (because they are understandable), to highlight their strengths (because sometimes people can’t see them) and to build hope (because it can be restored).

From a young age, I was always interested in the why of things. Whenever I was told that, "things could be worse", I was never satisfied and always remember thinking that there must be a better or different way of handling things. In my life, I have encountered many challenging times and tried to handle things the best I could. As a result, I decided to do my own work and in turn was inspired to help others. Today, I am fortunate enough to do the work I do and am passionate about helping others to make changes in their lives.
