If you are looking for a mature, experienced, person-centered, and non-judgmental mental health counsellor please continue to read my profile. I have 16 years of clinical experience in mental health and addictions and 14 years of experience working with developmentally disabled children and adults including persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder. One size fits all does not apply to counselling done from the social work lens as every individual is unique. I use an eclectic approach and tailor it to the individual needs and strengths of my clients. My practice is mainly guided by but not limited to elements of CBT, DBT, MI, AT.
My core belief and paramount practice perspective is that effective and long lasting solutions to our problems can be found within ourselves and sometimes we need to seek help/guidance outside in order to discover them. On the other hand, our feelings, thoughts, and behaviours are shaped by our immediate and broader environments.
In addition to being a BSW, MSW and RSW I am a loving father of two adult daughters, a committed longtime partner, and a happy pet owner. I can describe myself as a warm, open-minded, accepting, flexible, and positive person. I offer individual counselling sessions for adults by secure video via Jane portal or by phone. I am bilingual in English and Polish.
