I am experienced in helping people heal from their trauma and address behaviours that interfere with a persons’ quality of life. I do this with a sense of curiosity, and an understanding that survivors have had to adapt to overcome and cope with unthinkable circumstances. Although this is an area of interest, I also have experience helping people with a variety of challenges such as anger, paranoia, depression, and anxiety. I am open to discussing your specific needs to determine if I am the right fit for you.
I have been trained in several treatment modalities and have developed an integrative approach to therapy. My approach combines trauma-informed care with primarily Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My goal is for your therapy to be individualized and collaborative.
It’s been my mission to honour each of my clients by taking their lessons and improving my services to those who come after. My greatest lessons have been that healing is possible (even for those who feel completely hopeless), that overcoming life’s struggles looks differently for everyone, and that the smallest steps are sometimes the biggest.
