I work with folks that are struggling with the effects of chronic stress, loss, and relational trauma. I believe humans have a great ability to form protective patterns of behaviours and beliefs to try and cope with the intensity of adversity. When we outgrow these patterns, they can become the sources of anxiety or distress. I specialize in navigating these inner landscapes with clients so they can connect with what and how they want their lives to look like. My approach to healing invites the complexity of being a human so people can bring their whole authentic self forward.
I draw from several approaches that include: NARM (Neuroaffective Relational Model), AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Attachment based therapy, Somatic therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Polyvagal theory. I offer the Safe and Sound Protocol as a tool to regulate the nervous system and reduce stress and anxiety.
Seeking support for your mental and emotional wellness is a powerful step. This is usually an indication that you have acknowledged that something in your life isn’t working as well as you’d like. That acknowledgement takes courage and it might feel messy, even complicated to confront. Reaching out for help can be hard—I’m really glad you are here.
