My name is Kimberly Pitino and I am a Registered Social Worker in Vernon, British Columbia in good standing and have been in the field of social work for 17 years. I completed my Masters of Social Work degree in December 2022. My experience and passion lead me to many years in health care. I am grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to support and walk alongside a number of individuals during particularly difficult times in their lives. I recognize and value working with individuals, using their own strengths and knowledge to first assist them in recognizing their own abilities and then work towards goals together.
I offer support in areas such as grief/loss, gender-based violence, health care challenges, caregivers, mild anxiety/depression, life transitions
I strive to create an environment of safety and trust as I wholeheartedly believe that is a key to a successful working relationship with those I meet. Part of my work will soon involve my work partner Marley. She is a Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier who will join me in my counselling work, and together we will offer animal-assisted therapy.
