Let’s be honest: the world is a dumpster fire right now. Climate catastrophe causes water shortages and wildfires. The implosion of capitalism, which never worked for most of us in the first place, leads to high living costs and an increase in poverty. There’s ramped up rhetoric hating on immigrants, BIPOC, and trans folks. There are ongoing genocides, rollbacks on basic human rights, and politicians who seem hopelessly out of touch with All. The. Things. Meanwhile, we’re supposed to keep on keepin’ on, pretending everything’s fine while somehow also navigating our own individual life challenges, problems, and concerns. It's a lot.
I don't know about you, but I'm not happy with "fine." I want fabulous! As a Calgary-based therapist-in-training with a 15+ year career as a social justice educator, I bring a unique perspective that combines expertise in systems and structures with trauma-informed, client-centred therapy rooted in anti-oppression, sex positivity and intersectional feminism.
