Sometimes you can go through life surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. Although suffering is a universal human experience each person’s response to it is like a kaleidoscope picture. Turn it ever so slightly and the picture shifts completely. I am committed to honouring your unique life’s picture and tailoring my approach to reflect this. I work collaboratively with you, meaning I see us working as partners together to achieve your desired goals.
Working with a trauma-informed and holistic perspective, some of the tools and techniques I might use to support you could come from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Trauma Integrating Flow Therapy (TIFT), Family Systems Therapy, Relationally Focused Trauma Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT).
I came to this work because of my own lived experience and believe at our core as human beings we just want to be seen, understood, and celebrated. My hope is that you have an opportunity to experience this through working with me!
