At Pathways Play Therapy Services, my mission is to support children’s mental and emotional wellbeing, strengthen their attachments, and increase their connection to self. My approach is based in an understanding of the brain and nervous system, attachment, mindfulness, and regulation. This means that I support your child at a deeper level, working with them to process the challenging behaviours, emotions, and thoughts that are causing distress. I will teach them new ways to regulate their emotions, sensory needs, and energy, and give them skills that they can use day-to-day.
Just as importantly, I will also partner with you to make sense of the struggles your child is facing and uncover ways to help them live a more joyful and fulfilled life. My ultimate goal is for your child to get to be their own healthy and connected one-of-a-kind self, and for you to feel supported as we help them get there.
I love supporting young children (ages 2-8 years old) with big behaviors, emotion dysregulation, struggles at school, and challenging transitions. I also have a passion for supporting the mental health needs of autistic children, ADHDers, and children of other neurodivergent neurotypes, as well as children who have experienced early trauma and foster care.
