Accepting new clients! Your thoughts never stop, you have a permanent pit in your stomach, and life feels both overwhelmingly busy, yet empty at the same time. You do your best to manage the constant anxiety spirals about school, work, friends, your body, your relationship, and/or the future, but the relief you get from scrolling social media, drinking/smoking/eating, and pushing your thoughts away is temporary. Everyone keeps telling you "you just need to try harder/be less lazy/stop worrying!" but you feel that's all you are ever trying to do! Exhausting, isn't it? Let's chat about how we can shift this.
We can work together to find helpful and tailored-to-you ways to manage your ADHD experiences, change your relationship to your thoughts (so your constant inner dialogue and anxieties are less in control), or reduce your self-judgment. By integrating different approaches (ACT, DBT, Person-centered, etc.) we can flexibly address your struggles and goals.
In session I strive to be as genuine as possible; you can expect humour, honest reactions, sarcasm, swearing, and pop culture references. I want you to feel comfortable to explore your thoughts and emotions (no matter how paralyzing/complicated/awkward), so I take a conversational and relaxed approach.
