When we are unable to honour our true selves or make sense of our experiences this can create a high degree of distress and discomfort. This can be caused by a number of different life events such as trauma, abuse & other developmental or situational life changes. In my practice I support my clients in exploring the impact of these events & work towards creating a vision of their future; one in which they feel safe, grounded and can flourish. I have strong knowledge of attachment theory, trauma informed as well as grief and loss practice, & work from a strength based perspective in order to foster growth & resilience.
As a Social Worker, I have worked for and in collaboration with a variety of social service agencies & this experience has provided me with significant knowledge of challenges people face as well as the resources available to them. I can provide counselling and psychotherapy to individuals (16 years & older) and couples. Evening and Saturday appts available.
I am proud to be a part of the health team at Headwaters Wellness where different professionals can work together to aid individuals in their physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. Registered Social Worker's fees are covered by many benefit plans.
