I believe that although life has its share of challenges and adversities, people possess the inner strength and resiliency to cope. I enjoy discovering and reinforcing these skills alongside my clients. I provide support to people experiencing mental health issues and challenges including though not limited to Anxiety/Depression; Trauma/PTSD; Family Conflicts; Complex Mental Health Diagnosis (i.e. Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder); Cognitive and Intellectual Disabilities; Dual Diagnosis; Inappropriate Sexualized Behaviors; and Domestic Violence (both supporting victims and perpetrators).
I utilize strategies from various psychotherapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy; Person-Centered Therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I also implement strategies of the holistic approach to healing based on the Medicine Wheel Philosophy.
