I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta. I have worked in the helping professions for the past 25 years. For 14 years, I worked as an addictions counsellor for Alberta Health Services, 13 years in a residential treatment centre and most recently with Access 24/7. My approach to helping with addictions, depression, anxiety, and beyond is to empower clients to achieve wellness. I take an affirmative approach to addressing the psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the individual. I believe a holistic approach to wellness is the best way to address concerns.
I employ affirmative counselling practices to assist with life transitions, depression/anxiety, addictions, self-esteem/self-worth, emotional regulation, and holistic wellness.
I believe the most important thing in the counselling process is the relationship between the client and the therapist. My priority is to form an alliance with my clients in addressing their concerns. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life and together we combine our knowledge to achieve their goals.
