Warm hello, if you are on this site for yourself or a loved one, it may be helpful to know that people seek my services for help with stress, depression, anxiety, pain, trauma, grief and loss. I value the role of humour and compassion to support personal growth and optimal well-being. I believe that life's difficulties are workable and can teach us a lot if we can lean into the discomfort, interrupting our habitual patterns of avoidance, and to relate to our pain (physical or emotional) consciously and compassionately. It is my intention to support you to maximize your inner and outer resources.

You may feel alone, or unable to answer these questions. I can offer you an opportunity to explore your strengths and challenges, and, in doing so, discover opportunities and resources that will help you move forward. Over time, experiences are written into our minds and bodies, and can keep us feeling stuck in patterns of thinking, behaving, and relating that no longer serve us. In therapy we can work together to unfurl these stories; finding freedom from automatic responses, and illuminating pathways to healing that are in line with your goals and values. I work with adults and older teens experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, emotional dysregulation & more. I provide unconditional support, honest feedback, and gentle guidance to help you process your experiences, develop insights, and create lasting change.

Hey, so this is a weird process, right? I know finding a therapist can feel daunting. Maybe you’ve never done therapy and you have no idea what to expect. Maybe you’ve tried it before, but you want something different. Maybe you just want something to change, but you’re not sure what. That’s okay; you don’t have to figure it out alone. I love to help people navigate this unique healing process through honesty, authenticity, and non-judgement. We can work together to determine your goals, the changes you may want to make, and the kinds of therapy that might be helpful for you.

As an experienced therapist, I offer individual, couple’s and family counselling. Whether it’s addiction based issues, such as substance use, gambling and sex, or emotional issues from our journey as young children, many of these issues can be concurrent with many mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, etc. Any one or a combination of these can keep us from finding our true, authentic selves. Through therapy, we have the chance to be heard, believed and empowered. These are key to our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual recovery as individuals and together.

**Accepting New Clients** I believe that the pain each man goes through is unique to his issues but is not dissimilar from the pain other men experience. Most men are taught about what feelings are acceptable to feel and in what situations it is acceptable to feel them. This can lead to men hearing phrases such as “toughen up”, “be strong” or “don’t cry”. Some men will say “I’m alright” when answering questions about their well being when they really aren’t “alright”. I believe such phrases and answers must be challenged. Every man deserves to be heard and have his feelings acknowledged. Together, we will work towards that goal.
