I offer Jungian / Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to people with a wide range of backgrounds and mental health concerns. Whether you are looking for support through a difficult time or to embark on a deeper healing journey, my aim is to help you more fully meet, explore, feel, and process the root causes of the issues that get in your way - those blocks, conflicts, patterns and wounds that keep you from moving towards realizing who you truly are and are longing to become. We work through this together within the context of a genuine, creative and secure therapeutic relationship that develops as we meet for the purposes of your healing.
How I work is informed by a career in the arts, academia, and years of study and personal work/analysis in Jungian/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I thus weave into my therapeutic approach a focus on attachment, relationships, and explorations/expressions of the unconscious and its symbolic dimensions, including dreams, myth, fantasy, music & art.
Core to this work is the truth that when you are able to process and gain insight about the thoughts, emotions, and conflicts causing you suffering, when you "make the unconscious conscious", symptoms begin to fade, are replaced by self-knowledge and meaning, and your natural abilities for creative adaptation and change can progress. In short: you can heal.
