We are relational. Thoughts occur as a series of associations, linking up, creating a narrative. The same can be said of memories. When and what is remembered occurs in the context of our current experience, linking past memories and future desires through the present. Therapy is an exploration of your relation to yourself, others and the world. An exploration facilitated through a therapeutic relationship. So, what is it that has gotten you to this point in your life? I am interested in finding out, and committed to helping you gain a greater sense of freedom from limiting beliefs, and finding more purpose in your life.
I take a psychodynamic approach. I want to know what you think and feel, and why. The "why" can sometimes be hard to answer. It's roots might stretch back into your earliest experiences, and it may be difficult to put into words at first. But over time, and through conversation, clarity can emerge.
It has been through my own therapeutic journey that I have gained a deep appreciation for the possibilities it can provide. To me, therapy is a continued, empathic curiosity about oneself. Curiosity opens up possibilities for greater understanding, and this can help to significantly improve your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.
