Hello and welcome to Acorn and Oak Counselling. I am currently accepting new, online clients. In my work, I use trauma-informed EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness practices, somatic, and attachment-based approaches. I also draw from my own healing experiences.
My areas of focus include trauma, C-PTSD, support for autoimmune diagnosis and underlying causes, anxiety, depression, abuse (financial, emotional, etc.), relationship issues, domestic violence, and working with younger, wounded parts (inner child), so existing unhelpful patterns can be replaced with ones that you determine are more desirable and beneficial.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process based on open communication, trust, and respect.
