To conceptualize therapy, the following might be a helpful picture. Several years ago, we decided to hatch our own chickens. After a couple of weeks, we candled the eggs to get a glimpse inside. The glimpse was amazing and mysterious—we could see life happening beneath the shell. This is what often happens in a counselling session; we look beneath the “shell” and get a glimpse of the mystery and complexity of the human experience. From this deeper looker inside, we have many choices and changes that are possible.
Here is what my therapy room looks like.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a person-centered therapist. I received my Masters in Counselling from the University of Northern British Colombia and currently live in Nanaimo. I welcome new clients who are families, couples, adults and kids (age 4-18).
I believe change is possible. If you are feelings stuck in life, if you are needing help in your relationships, if you are feeling overwhelmed; it would be my honour to walk alongside you in a counselling relationship.
