My mentor once asked me why I wanted to be a therapist and I said I wanted to help people out of hell. I personally have known such pain and therapy saved my life. I work one-on-one with co-dependents, people with addiction and anxious and/or depressed individuals. I worked for 30 years in an outpatient clinic and used such models of therapy as CBT, DBT and client centred. I especially like to work with people suffering from trauma. So many memories from childhood lie buried; not conscious and yet they have such a self-destructive impact on our identity, emotions and behaviour.
For trauma work, the model of therapy I follow is Primal-like Therapy. It allows the person to finally remember their traumatic childhood in a safe, soundproof environment where they can express their long-buried feelings about how they were treated.
I have also helped some clients who want my support in guiding them on a therapeutic psychedelic journey.
