Hey there! Finding a therapist you connect with can be a daunting task, but it’s worth it once you find that person you feel comfortable with and can trust. My own approach is warm, relaxed, and collaborative. I make sure that you have space in sessions to share whatever is on your mind while also ensuring that we have continuity between sessions and are working toward your goals. I always strive to create a space that feels open and non-judgemental, and I work from a client-centred and trauma-informed perspective.
I have experience working in the Employee Assistance field as well as working in community mental health and with survivors of domestic violence. I work primarily with anxiety and depression, stress, burnout, and relationship issues. I also see clients who are looking for support with PTSD symptoms and BPD symptoms.
In our first consultation I’ll ask you some questions to help me understand what kind of support you’re looking for and what you’re hoping to gain from sessions. Hopefully you’ll ask me some questions too! Then we’ll work together to identify your goals and come up with a plan.
