Working as a Therapist in the addiction and mental health field for 25 years has allowed me the privilege of working with individuals who, like me, face some difficulties that are seemingly too complex to work out on their own. Finding the right person to explore such sensitive and personal issues is no easy feat which is why providing an authentic and non-judgmental space is at the heart of my therapy practice. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a jumping point for assessing and identifying what the unmanageable feelings are that drive mood and addictive disorders. Collaboratively, strategies are explored and/or developed to help shift unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that often contribute to and maintain an individual's distress and/or relapse.
