I am an experienced Registered Psychotherapist with an M.A. in Counselling Psychology. I specialize in individual and family issues, couples counselling, grief work and supporting the challenges of living with cancer and dealing with dying. As a therapist, cancer patient, and the mother of six children, my life experience and training has taught me the value of working with each person as a unique, dynamic individual. I have personal experience raising children to adulthood, navigating the challenges and rewards of being in long-term relationships, and dealing with loss, illness and death.
I passionately believe that while life challenges can be heartbreaking, they can also provide one with an opportunity to discover what is truly meaningful, and to enhance one's appreciation for optimal physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
I view the therapeutic relationship as a respectful, trusting and collaborative partnership between client and therapist. My approach is a caring one that approaches being human from an integrated mind/body/spirit perspective.
