I think of this quote often, as it aligns with my nature and also how I view my clients. It aptly describes the tension of recognizing a person’s inner strength, that harm outside of their control has been done to them, and that there is something beyond being in a survival state. I have worked as a counsellor and in Mental Health for over 12 years and approach my practice with compassion, an open-mind and empathy.
I specialize in adults and youth struggling with anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, life transitions, grief, and psychosis. I utilize a variety of evidence based approaches to help support my clients in their goals and build on their strengths and resiliencies.
