Grief is unique for every individual. There are many different losses that individuals experience, but the commonality is that grief can be debilitating, lonely and isolating. I accompany clients on their journey of processing multiple forms of grief that can include death loss, pet loss, traumatic loss and/or chronic sorrow. I offer in-person, virtual and telephone sessions. I also am available to provide support to clients in a counselling capacity specific to mental health concerns (anxiety, depression, self esteem, family conflict).
I work with clients to identify their individualized response to grief. I provide an open, non-judgmental space for clients to share in moments of remembrance and joy, as well as support during times of vulnerability and pain. Together we determine desired goals the client wishes to achieve, in an effort to have a more functional approach to daily living.
My own losses have shaped me to be a compassionate counsellor. It is my desire to offer support to clients who are feeling lost and overwhelmed from various types of grief. I approach my grief counselling sessions from a place of privilege with the goal of clients’ grieving process leading to healing and acceptance.
