Do you know a child or youth who is experiencing behavioural, emotional, or developmental challenges? If so, I can help! Traditional talk therapy can be intimidating, especially for young people. Using experiential approaches, I walk beside my clients as they recognize the power they hold to create wellness in their lives, experience growth, and reach their full potential. Allowing young people to be creative throughout the therapeutic process enables us to see the world through their eyes, which I believe is an essential part of assisting them overcome the challenges in their lives.
I am a child-centred therapist, wherein relationship is a primary treatment modality. I use interventions rooted in art, play, and adventure therapy, which are utilized to allow for self expression in ways that are fun and engaging. I also use interventions like mindfulness, CBT and Circle of Courage®, which can be modified for any age and/or ability.
I assist the individuals I work with in identifying strengths, overcoming adversity, and discovering new ways to express themselves. Supporting young people and families is my passion. I am a FNIHB and Jordan's Principle service provider. I look forward to hearing from you!
