I am a registered social worker with 25+ years experience counselling individuals facing issues in a variety of areas including depression, anxiety, disordered eating, particularly emotional/binge eating, body image, stress, grief and loss, relationship issues and abuse. Please Note: I am currently only accepting patients who wish to heal from emotional/binge eating, frequent dieting and body image/weight concerns.
Within my practice, I use several different models of treatment including a cognitive-behavioural, client-centered approach. I see therapy as a guided process that can take many paths to healing. I am passionate about helping clients find new insights within and assisting them in discovering their own unique path to wellness. Weekend sessions are available.
I am committed to continued education through conferences and research. I am also a licensed Craving Change facilitator - a cognitive-behavioural group for people struggling with emotional eating. As well, I am a licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator - a group that focuses on caring for your own unique body and intuitive eating.
