I use a client-centered, integrative, and trauma-informed approach in my practice. I believe in a wholistic healing process that embraces understanding and attending to the stories that our cognitions, emotions, and bodies are telling us in the context of our day to day lives. Overwhelming, difficult, or traumatic experiences can keep us suffering with symptoms and patterns of living that no longer serve us. Through gently paced mind and body interventions, we can begin to discover new pathways for lasting change by developing more internal and external experiences of safety, presence, wisdom, and strength.
I have advanced training in EMDR with adolescents and adults. I also have training in and implement Polyvagal Theory Interventions, Parts Work/Ego State Therapy, CBT, Attachment Theory, Non-Violent Communication (NVC), LENS Neurofeedback and other trauma-informed modalities. I am also in the process of becoming a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist.
I am committed to extending and inviting gentle curiosity and compassion toward your internal experiences and parts of self in each session as we explore your goals and what has brought you to this place. You are the expert on yourself, and my job is to gently guide you toward the innate resources, wisdom, and healing that you already carry within you.
