Hossein has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology in addition to a Bachelor of Science, an MA, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. Hossein offers both individual and couples counselling. Depending on client needs, Hossein uses various approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and many more.
Hossein works to build and maintain a firm therapeutic alliance with his clients and believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor for the client/therapist journey; Hossein helps clients start, continue, and finish journeys in which new perspectives are discovered.
As a philosopher who is interested in Stoicism, which is the foundation of CBT, DBT, and MBCT, Hossein regards the close relationships between his clients’ thoughts, behaviours, and emotions as the main aspect of the psychotherapeutic journey.
