Homa actively pursues knowledge of the latest research in techniques to enhance her existing practice and emphasize in empirically proven strategies to facilitate change. This includes a thorough understanding of neurological sciences and the growing appreciation for the mind-body connection in current research.
Her areas of expertise include disordered eating, relationships, sleep disruption, trauma, injury recovery, and anxiety. Depending on what is most applicable to the client, she uses a combination of Trauma-informed CBT, Mindfulness, Emotional Family Focus therapy, EFFT, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approaches.
