Loss is not just limited to death loss, although that might be what brought you here. Loss includes the loss of our pets, our health, an important relationship, our work. Society tells us that even with death loss we can be cured and should “get over it” as soon as possible. I believe there is no moving on from, there is moving on with grief. For anyone experiencing loss, there is a better way and that is to learn to companion our loss and give it a place in our lives. We companion our loss by talking about it, giving it meaning and allowing it room to exist.
There are many losses in life that go totally unnoticed or unacknowledged leaving us feeling isolated and alone. No loss is unimportant. I offer individual and group therapy to explore the grief you are experiencing.
As a Nurse Practitioner Psychotherapist, I will walk alongside you as you bravely wade through your grief. Together we will empower you to become your grief’s companion, to honour the loss and move with it. I look forward to connecting with you.
